WP7 – Assessment Methodology for virtual and real tests & certification process for ADFs & EPS

Outputs from WP3 to WP5 are used to fulfil the requirements defined in WP2, for EPS and ADF. The S/DGT generated are references for real-world and virtual tests. A main task is to compartment and assess the relevance of various types of data (GT, real, virtual) and their usability, by properly allocating them to a given Operational Design Domain (ODD).

Identified risks are to not achieve a sufficient coverage or a data quality defined in WP2 or a well-balanced dataset to avoid over/under representation. A mitigation is to either complete the data sets or reduce the ODD. The second task is to demonstrate the correlation between virtual and real dataset/scenarios, and in case of a mismatch, identify the main root causes to adapt the simulator and/or the virtual data set.

The WP has four tasks:

  • Task 7.1: Assessment Methodology for Real World Testing
  • Task 7.2: Assessment methodologies for virtual testing
  • Task 7.3: ADF assessment and certification
  • Task 7.4: EPS assessment and certification
